Lomita Sherif – We’re all in this together. We said that earlier, and we meant it. If you have an elderly loved one or someone in need that lives in the Lomita station jurisdiction (Lomita, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates or unincorporated Palos Verdes Peninsula and San Pedro) and you are unable to check on them, give us a call at (310) 539-1661 and ask for a welfare check! Duties permitting, deputies will go by your loved one’s home to check on them and make sure they are okay! Just because they’re stuck inside during this unusual moment in our history doesn’t mean they are forgotten!

While all of our local schools are closed, the need for kids to have a caring, professional therapist to talk to has grown exponentially. Our Child Guidance Clinic is seeing clients through telehealth with the full support of the Department of Mental Health. The school districts we work with have asked us to continue offering counseling services also via telehealth, knowing that anxiety is running rampant in addition to what the students were going through before this crisis began.
